PKAVS Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub (Walled Garden)

The Walled Garden is part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, based in the grounds of the Murray Royal hospital just minutes from Perth city centre, and is a tranquil haven for people recovering from mental illness and members of the public alike.

The Garden is open to the public Mon-Fri 9:30am-3.30pm, and the Cafe is open Mon-Fri 11:00am-3:00pm. Access to the Garden is via Pitcullen House Drive and there is parking on-site.

The Walled Garden has something for everyone:

• The welcoming Cafe is staffed by the clients we work with, giving them new skills, experience and confidence. It sells homemade soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes, salads and delicious cakes, teas and coffees all at very reasonable prices. Why not come for lunch, enjoy the surroundings and support people to practicing their customer service skills?
• There is also an art studio and shop on site where beautiful items crafted by our clients are sold. You can even commission an item like a picnic bench or bird table - it's all made with care and built to last!
• Seasonal fruit and vegetables are also on sale, as well as garden plants and flowers

Thw Walled Garden offers a variety of services for adults aged between 16-65 years who have severe and enduring mental health needs. Activities include arts and crafts, woodwork, catering and horticulture. A small café/shop is open to the public and also provides catering opportunities to users of the service.

This is a safe environment where the person you support can develop new skills, gain confidence and meet new people. It also gives the carer an opportunity to relax and have time to themselves whilst their cared for is here.
