Back in May and June, we asked all our supporters to remember to use their blue tokens when they visited their local Tesco and vote for PKAVS Young Carers project. 

Thanks to everyone's amazing support we received the most votes and were awarded a Bags of Help grant of £4,000! This funding will be used towards helping continue and grow our weekly respite groups for Young Carers. 

Our groups provide vital respite for our young carers, it offers them time to focus on their own health and wellbeing and gives them a break from their caring role. The group activities allow them to access life opportunities that they may have otherwise been denied; it is also a great opportunity for them to develop their social skills and in particular, meet other people who are in similar situations to themselves and who experience comparable challenges in their daily lives.
