Perth Autism Support have successfully secured funding to offer a support programme for siblings. This will include providing one day activities per week through the school holidays from Easter 2016 and a Sibling Christmas Disco.

The siblings training and information programme will take the model of the 'I am me' provision for children with autism and will run over 6 weeks covering the following:

• Week 1 - Getting to Know You
• Week 2 - What is it like to have Autism?
• Week 3 - Difficult times with our brothers and sisters and enjoying ourselves with our brothers and sisters
• Week 4 - Explaining it to others
• Week 5 - Being treated differently and feelings about our brothers and sisters
• Week 6 - Celebrating our success!

There will also be some provision for one to one time for siblings should they need more inrensive staff support.
