This week we received the wonderful news that PKAVS Carers Hub have been successful in our applications to Shared Care Scotland's Short Breaks Fund. We have been awarded £30.8K in total which will help us to continue to sustain and develop various projects for unpaid carers of all ages in Perth & Kinross.

Part of this funding will be used to continue administering our Time4Me fund. This is a micro-grants scheme for carers which enable them to access funds and support to help them take short breaks that meet their needs. We have administered this project for the last 3 years which has benefitted hundreds of carers.

Please check our Time4Me page for more info on when we will be relaunching this fund - click hereThis funding will also be used to help increase the diversity and occasions of activities in both our Day Centres in Perth and Blairgowrie. It will allow us to deliver some new activities for our service users including some more day trips. We were successful in our 3 applications to Shared Care Scotland and a portion of this funding will also be used to help fund our Young Carers project.
